December 30

We went back to visit two of our Afghani families today. One has a 3 week old baby girl and the other will have one iA January 14th. Todays mission was to deliver items for the babies, clothes for the dad, TV & DVD player.

We would like to thank everyone for coming together and making sure these families were taken care of.

iA soon we will have few more families needing help once they move into apartments.

December 19

We visited an Afghan refugee family of 7 (mom, dad, girl 9, girl 7, girl 5, boy 5 & 2 week old baby girl.

We bought them afghani food, hygiene products, toys, clothes & household items( vacuum, slow cooker, dishes, cookwear, utensils, comforter, curtains, cups & prayer rug)

Alhamdulillah… thank you to our donors & volunteers for making this project happen. Also thank you House of Goods for providing us the address of this family so we can help them.

The family is still in need of couch, kitchen table, Afghani women clothing size L & long sitting mattress. (They do not need kids clothes)

December 15

Today we visited Afghan refugee family of 4 (soon to be 5).

We brought some basic household necessities: bath towels, hand towels, dishes, microwave, pillows, sheets, comforters, curtains, utensils, toys, bathroom set, cookwear, hygiene products and a car seat (mom is 8 months pregnant and they do not know the gender of the baby so we will hold off on baby items until the doctor confirms- she was at her visit while we were there)

If anyone has a phone that would like to donate please let us know. This is very important in case of emergency for this family to have as they have small kids and a pregnant woman. No one can reach them to help them.

All praise belongs to God who has brought us all together to help others. We would like to thank our community for online donations & in kind donations. Thanks to you we are able to help these families. Thank you House of Goods Baitulmal for introducing us to this family and others who need help.

December  17

Today we deliver a phone to the Afghan family we met few days back.

Thank you Sara Dedic (Dedic Print) for donating Samsun AT&T phone.

We got them a sim car and prepare unlimited minutes and text with 5GB data 12/17-1/17 with $10 left for February.

If someone would like to get them some minutes in February all they would need is $20 prepaid.

One more good news- they will be having a little girl in about a month. We had many people asking to donate baby items. (Crib, mattress, swing have been donated) if you have other items you would like to share let us know in a message.

November 25

Today we dropped off snacks, hygiene products, hats, gloves, jackets, etc. to House of Goods Baitulmal for their “Day of Giving” project. They have been working tirelessly everyday helping the new arriving refugees and we wanted to be small part of this good deed.

Thank you Lisa, Jamie and Fuad for spending your Thanksgiving day helping those in need. We admire you and will be here whatever you need to continue doing amazing work.

Thank you to our donors and volunteers for supporting this cause.

We made sure to buy Afghani food, hygiene products, feminine products, towels, comforters, pillows, blankets, other household items and clothes.

Thank you Lisa Grozdanic, Edita Black

And House of Goods Baitulmal for giving us information about this family and their needs. You guys are doing so much for the refugees every single day.

Also thank you to our donors & volunteers for making this happen.

This brings back memories for many of us arriving to Stl, to an unknown place.

August 30

Today was a little different, we helped a beautiful soul Amila Tutundzic collect essential items for the New Arriving refugees. Amila took it upon herself to collect much needed items to show our new arrivals that community is what we stand for, and for community we will band together. Because together…we can be each other’s guiding light and shine through the darkest of times.

We are so Proud of this community!
